We can face change at any moment in our lives; sometimes it troubles our emotional state and leaves us unable to see beyond what just occurred. Hence, changes are like going on an expedition. Navigation could be skipped or you could wander around it or even better, accept the change and be a part of it. It’s absolutely a choice that one has to make.
The level of uncertainty in the workplace increases when a change happens in an organization, whether it be a merger, acquisition, shutdown. Also, changes in management/proprietorship, structure or process. The way human beings are, we function at our optimum at the right juncture of balance between structure and freedom. As a result, the newly formed excess uncertainty cuts down our confidence, makes us anxious and affects our productivity.
